Lockheed Drama Club is an audition-only after-school program for 3rd-5th grade students interested in exploring the world of musical theater! Meeting every Monday after school, students dive into learning choreography, songs, acting techniques, and bringing characters to life on stage.
Each year, the Drama Club works together to produce a full musical performance. Our goal is to create a collaborative environment where students synergize to put on a show they can hang their hats on. Whether a seasoned performer or trying theater for the first time, Lockheed Drama Club is a wonderful place for students to build confidence, creativity, and lasting memories.
Hannah Norton is the music teacher at Lockheed Elementary, where she has taught for the past six years. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Kennesaw State University and a Master's degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia. Ms. Norton is also fully Orff Schulwerk certified, bringing a dynamic, hands-on approach to music education that emphasizes creativity, movement, and active music-making.
In addition to her classroom teaching, Ms. Norton directs two after-school programs. Jammin' Jets, founded in 2021, is a performance group where students sing and play instruments at community events throughout the year. In 2023, she established Drama Club, giving students another opportunity to perform and build confidence through the arts.
Ms. Norton believes that music is a powerful gift that inspires and enriches our lives. She is committed to making music education accessible to all students, regardless of their background, and works to create an inclusive environment where every child can experience the joy and growth that music brings.
