Clubs & Organizations

Parents may decline participation (opt out) of their child in any club/organization offered at Lockheed Elementary. The "opt out" form is included with the Parent Guide signature document.

Club or Organization Mission/Purpose Activities

Student Ambassadors

Provide students with the opportunity to learn about and participate in the governance process, leadership/ representative role and the democratic process

School-based Service/ Social projects and community service activities

Jets on the Run

Provide students to build physical fitness, build self-esteem, confidence, collaboration and leadership skills, while learning the importance of exercise and healthy living Participation in exercise sessions; Girls on the Run

Safety Patrol

Foster a sense of law and order within an organization and community service Officers for the school campus; monitor student movement in the hallways

Beta Club

Promote the ideas of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students. School base Service/ Social projects and community service activities

Science Club

Students participate in after-school activities that focus on science Experiments, projects, investigations, Science Fair

Chorus

Participation in group activities designed to help students perform and sing with proper vocal techniques, to appreciate music, and to work together towards a common goal. Approved rehearsals in preparation for school-wide and district-wide performances and programs and field trips throughout the community

WJET News Crew

Facilitate video news and production projects Daily news reports through closed circuit television

Flag Patrol

Teach students proper flag etiquette Responsible for raising and lowering the flag each day.

Kiwanis K-Kids Club

Civic organization School base Service/ Social projects and community service activities

Reading Bowl Club

Students will read and discuss books from multiple genres Literacy focused group to support reading and comprehension activities for the district Reading Bowl event.

Recycling Club

Students learn about environmental issues related to recycling Lead recycling projects throughout the school

Gardening Club

Students will learn about planting and growing various plants and herbs Plant and tend to flower beds around the school
