Meet the Principal
Dr. Tricia Patterson is a passionate and experienced educator who has spent over 24 years in the field. She holds a bachelor of arts in journalism and communication from The Ohio State University, a bachelor of arts in teaching (K - 8) from Otterbein College, a master’s in education leadership from Kennesaw State University, a specialist in education leadership from Berry College, and earned her doctorate in education policy and leadership from The University of Alabama.
Dr. Patterson has been a Principal in Marietta City since 2018. She is excited about beginning the next journey of her career as the proud leader at Lockheed. Prior to working in Marietta City, she spent four years as a Principal in Cobb County and has also worked as a teacher, intervention specialist, and Assistant Principal.
Known for her ability to create a positive school culture, build strong relationships with students, staff, and families, and develop a vision to improve student achievement, Dr. Patterson is highly respected in her field. She has been a member of Leadership Cobb (2021-2022), currently serves as the Education Chair for Marietta Business Association, and sits on the Georgia Aquarium Education Committee and the board of the Treigned “Be More” Initiative for equitable access to physical fitness.
Outside of work, Dr. Patterson enjoys spending time with her husband, two children (Ella - 17, Cooper - 14), and two rescue Labs (Knox and Faith). Her passion for education, leadership, and community engagement makes her an inspiring figure and valuable asset to the Marietta community.
